PM Meles arrives in Cairo, Egypt
Addis Ababa, September 17, 2011 - Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zeinawi arrived on Friday in Cairo on a visit to Egypt, the first since Egypt's 25th of January revolution.
Meles is scheduled to hold talks with the Head of the Supreme Council of Armed Forces Field Marshall Hussein Tantawi and Prime Minister Essam Sharaf who was at the airport to receive him.
Talks between Meles and Tantawi would discuss enhancing bilateral ties between Egypt and Ethiopia, and the latest developments related to the Nile basin file.
Meles is set to sign a number of cooperation treaties between Egypt and Ethiopia to strengthen economic ties in the fields of water resources, irrigation, health and agriculture. (nileinternational.net)
